Purpose of the job
This role is responsible for the successful delivery of medium-to-high complexity projects, whilst also providing day-to-day direction to more junior project managers. You will need to demonstrate strong, trusted relationship with clients throughout the delivery of projects, being consulted by the clients directly. Our clients actively participate in conversations around the creative product, adding value where relevant, and driving stronger creative work on their projects as a result.
In addition, the Senior Creative Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the leadership team to provide forecasting insight, capacity visibility, and recommendations that help shape the right teams for current and future demand. This role acts as a key bridge between client partnership, creative, project delivery and resource management.
Initial projects + deliverables might initially include Retail Point of Sale, automation around high volume / mid complexity content production and perhaps within Life Sciences or other regulated industries.
6 month salaried contract initially with an immediate start ideally. This role operates on a blended basis between the local HH Global office (London) and home as necessary - some attendance at our Bishopsgate office is required.
Key responsibilities
Project management + client partnership
- A primary client contact for medium-to-high complexity and/or integrated projects; acting as senior client-facing contact where appropriate
- Own discovery, brief interrogation, scope definition, timelines, dependencies and risk management for assigned projects
- Translate client requirements into clear delivery plans, maintaining best practice project documentation to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and expected quality
- Proactively manage expectations, communications, approvals and risks
- In partnership with the Director of Creative Programs, support with and contribute to RFPs and QBRs
- In partnership with the Director of Creative Programs, own the onboarding of new clients into Content Studios covering capabilities, ways of working and SLAs
Team oversight + line management
- Act as a day-to-day escalation point for delivery, workflow or client challenges, supporting project managers to resolve issues effectively but knowing when to escalate further
- Promote consistent ways of working, quality standards and delivery discipline across the project management team
- Support the Director of Creative Programs with the onboarding of new project managers and ensure they are embedded into Content Studios processes and culture
- Line manage and provide coaching and mentoring to support ongoing development and progression. Including setting goals and role objectives, and performance management as required
- Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment aligned with Content Studios objectives
Forecasting, planning + operational insight
- Work closely with client engagement and the resourcing team to provide project and delivery-led input into forecasting, capacity planning and utilization discussions
- Work collaboratively with the resourcing team to ensure alignment between delivery priorities and resourcing decisions
- Highlight upcoming risks, delivery pressures, skill gaps or resourcing challenges early
- Support shaping of teams by providing insight into workload mix, complexity trends and future demand
- Contribute to planning conversations with the Director of Creative Programs to ensure the right project management capability and structure is in place
Financial + delivery governance
- Confidently builds project quotes and cost estimates, aligning and clarifying as needed with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Oversee financial health of assigned projects, including estimates, scope control, tracking and reporting
- Ensure budget risks, scope changes and recovery concerns are flagged and managed early
- Be a champion of best practice around cost and scope control, change management and governance
- Ensure quality standards, documentation accuracy and compliance requirements are consistently met
Communication + stakeholder collaboration
- Be a trusted partner for client engagement, external clients, creative leads and studio leadership
- Facilitate and drive project collaboration, ensuring that key conversations happen in a timely manner
- With strong communication skills, both leads and mediates project conversations including presenting work as required
- Proactively consults with the business and wider specialisms to ensure project needs are met
- Creates conditions to collaborate between internal and external stakeholders which result in positive outcomes
Knowledge, skills + experience
- Proven experience delivering medium-to-high complexity projects within a creative studio, agency or production environment
- Strong understanding of creative production workflows, point of sale, retail, campaign development and multi‑market delivery
- Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator able to engage clients and senior internal stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, scope and risk
- Experience using project management and workflow tools
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring project managers
