An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, working with our contract based out of our Melksham depot.
General duties included:
- Grass cutting and strimming
- General grounds maintenance duties.
- To lead a team in carrying out allocated duties on a set round.
- To ensure compliance with the companies Safe systems of work, promoting a positive health and safety culture.
- Ensuring scheduled visits are complete on time.
- Experience in Grounds Maintenance
- Experience with Ride-on Mowers
- PA1 or PA6 Pesticide Certification (preferable)
- Driving Licence required-Essential
- Assist with allocation of work to staff as well as monitoring and planning of work
- Allocation of equipment and uniform to staff
- Presenting tool box talks to work teams
- Assisting with all matters of health and safety, developing and maintaining communication within teams
- Full range of grounds maintenance duties
- Work within timescale and always demonstrate a high standard of horticultural practice.
Person Specification:
- Comprehensive grounds maintenance experience
- Experience of leading a team / supervising
- Full driving licence
- Ideally hold PA1 and PA6 certificates
Pay is dependant on experience and qualifications relevant to the role up to £14.04 per hour. Hourly rate in line with government minimum wage age brackets.
