Overview
First Choice Drainage Solutions is a growing company operating within the drainage, plumbing and groundworks sector.
We are currently seeking a Construction Site Supervisor for a full-time, permanent position based out of our head office in Harlow, for projects across London and the surrounding home Counties. The successful candidate will work closely alongside our Senior Estimator, supporting the delivery of projects from initial planning through to completion.
This role will involve coordinating and overseeing multiple jobs, ensuring operations run smoothly from start to finish. You will be responsible for assisting with project mobilisation, monitoring progress on site, liaising with operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and in line with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on site
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and site workers
- Monitor progress and report updates to the Project Manager
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure materials, equipment, and labour are available when required
- Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, attendance, and incident reports
- Resolve on-site issues and escalate problems where necessary
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project
- Assist in planning site logistics and work sequencing
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman, or similar role in construction
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Relevant construction certifications or licenses (e.g., site safety training).
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
