Help the Church care for those who care for others
We are seeking a new Convener to lead this new and important committee.
This is an opportunity to exercise thoughtful and compassionate leadership at the heart of the Church’s ministry. The Convener works collaboratively with committee members, officers and the Deputy General Secretary (Ministries) to ensure that the Committee fulfils its responsibilities with wisdom, integrity and pastoral sensitivity.
The work of the Committee spans matters relating to ministerial wellbeing, sickness, welfare support, conditions of service, financial assistance, stipends and allowances. Some discussions concern ministers and their families during periods of significant challenge or vulnerability. The Convener helps create a culture in which these matters are considered prayerfully, fairly and confidentially, balancing compassion for individuals with responsible stewardship of the Church’s resources.
This is a volunteer role.
