The Role
We are looking for a meticulous, organised, and self-motivated person to take full ownership of the interior cleaning and presentation of our five Yorkshire Dales cabins on changeover days. This is a freelance position working alongside our site manager, who handles outdoor areas, maintenance, and logistics.
You will be responsible for the cleaning and presentation of our cabins. A high standard matters enormously to us.
Changeover Days and Hours
Changeovers take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, approximately 10am to 3pm, with one Sunday per month (usually the first Sunday), with the following Monday off.
This is a high-occupancy site, which means hours are consistent and reliable week to week. Exact scheduling is confirmed in advance by the operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Meet the site manager at stores at the start of each changeover day to collect and prepare all cleaning supplies and linen for every cabin before heading to site. From there you will work through each cabin in sequence, completing a full interior clean, bed make-up, kitchen reset, bathroom clean, and welcome presentation to a consistent and high standard. Specifically this includes:
- Full interior clean of all five cabins including kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living areas
- Fresh bed linen and towels set to a precise standard for every cabin
- Kitchen reset including all crockery, glassware and cookware checked and restocked
- Bathroom fully cleaned and toiletries restocked
- Final walk-through of each cabin before sign-off
- Maintain organisation of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Monitor linen condition and ensure it meets Rest + Wild standards
- Report stock levels of guest consumables and cleaning supplies to the operations team at the end of each changeover day
- Maintain a clear handover record for each cabin, noting any issues, damage or follow-up required
- Reporting any damage, maintenance issues or missing items to the site manager promptly and clearly
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping, ideally in hospitality
- A genuinely high personal standard, someone who notices the details
- Organised and reliable, able to work through a run sheet methodically and efficiently
- A good communicator who works well alongside a small team
- Local to or within easy reach of Ellingstring, North Yorkshire
