We are seeking a self-driven and compassionate Registered Manager (CQC registered or working towards registration, Level 3 qualification acceptable) to lead a new 6-bed supported living service, ensuring high quality care for 18-65 year old adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, dual diagnosis, and/or forensic history
The Registered Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Supported Living Accommodation ensuring the highest quality of care is provided in line with CQC regulations and industry practices.
Responsibilities:
- Working towards registering the business with CQC with support of responsible individual
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a Supported Living Accommodation for all service users
- Liaise with Local Authorities and relevant other bodies to ensure satisfactory standards are maintained and promote the service
- Develop and implement care plans for service users, ensuring individual needs are met and tailored (must ensure service users wishes are agreed, respected whilst promoting their dignity and privacy)
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards: Information Governance/GDPR, confidentiality, infection prevention and control, general maintenance of environment Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Risk management
- To maintain high levels of occupancy.
- Risk assessments: To ensure all risks associated with care e.g. moving and handling, mobility, challenging behaviour, working environment are correctly identified and managed
- Safeguarding: Recognise concerns and take the necessary action to minimise risks for individuals in line with policy with maintenance of care plans
- Attending monthly financial and key performance indicator meetings with the director and responsible individual and understand costings
- To use care management and reporting systems effectively
- Knowledge and maintenance of Quality assurance, audits, and continuous service improvement, using data and audits for service improvement.
- Strong staff supervision, appraisal, performance management, and continuous service improvement
Experience:
- NVQ level 5 in Health and Social Care or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (open to consider alternative qualifications i.e Level 3 Health & Social care)
- If candidate has a Level 3 qualification, you must be willing to train for a Level 5 qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a senior care or assisted living setting and ability to complete or support with assessments
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding adults and associated procedures
- Knowledge of best care practices, medication administration protocol
- Knowledge and understanding of recovery approach
- Experience and knowledge of creating care plans which are person-centred, consensual and safe. This includes demonstrating an understanding of principles of high quality and non-discriminatory care practice.
- Bed management experience
- Mitigation of risk, incidents, accidents
- Excellent understanding of care and support services in line with CQC
- Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (MCA), DoLS / Liberty Protection Safeguards
- Understanding of business and operational management within supported living services
- Key relationships with North West London local authority
