Vehicle Preparation Technician
Location: STJ Motorhomes, Yattendon Lane, Upper Basildon, RG8 8NW
Starting Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, plus alternate Saturday mornings.

About The Role
Every vehicle that arrives with us is prepared to the highest possible standard before being advertised or handed over to its new owner. This role involves much more than simply washing vehicles. You'll be responsible for helping present our stock to an exceptional standard whilst supporting the wider team wherever required.
Typical duties include:
- Exterior washing and interior valeting
- Machine polishing and paint enhancement
- Cosmetic cleaning and bodywork restoration
- Preparing vehicles for photography and customer handover
- Moving and organising vehicles around site
- Maintaining a clean and professional forecourt
- Identifying cosmetic defects or faults and reporting them to the workshop team
- General site organisation and supporting other departments when required
No two days are ever quite the same.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes genuine pride in producing high-quality work
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is reliable, trustworthy and motivated
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Is keen to learn new skills and develop within the business
A full UK driving licence is essential due to our rural location and the movement of vehicles around site.
Training & Development
We don't expect you to know everything on day one.
We'll provide ongoing training and opportunities to develop new skills in areas such as machine polishing, paint correction, bodywork restoration and workshop support.
