Hours of work: 7.30 – 4.30 (Minimum of 40 hours a week) plus overtime at time & a half

Primary Function:
To work on various commercial customer sites across the East Midlands.
Ensure the grounds within the site are kept in accordance with the contract.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
Previous grounds maintenance experience and good horticultural knowledge are essential as is a full UK driving licence (non negotiable MUST have valid UK licence).
You will need to have a flexible approach, a ‘can do’ attitude and be a reliable team player.
Be responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business or building. Planting when necessary, mowing, weeding, and repairing structures and overall general grounds maintenance.
Duties can include the following:-
- Mow grassed areas either by hand or using a pedestrian mower.
- Cut lawn using hand or power mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
- Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
- Sweep walkways of debris.
- Trim shrubs and pull weeds (apply weedspray)
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
- Water plants and grass as needed.
