Job Summary
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Enfield is an established and thriving day nursery located close to Enfield Town. We are part of an award winning chain of nurseries with over 60 nurseries located nationwide.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Nursery Manager who will work closely with the Director and Area Manager to lead a large, permanent and well-qualified team. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding childcare within a safe, secure, and stimulating environment. Strong parent partnerships, high-quality provision, and effective team leadership will be central to your role.
You will be an inspirational leader, capable of motivating and supporting your team as they guide children through their learning and development journey. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing a large nursery setting and a strong track record with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
- Develop and implement programmes that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Oversee the planning and organisation of activities suitable for various age groups.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
- Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all times within the nursery environment.
- Organise staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.
- Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and resource procurement.
- Support recruitment, induction, retention, and staff development
- Manage budgets and occupancy levels effectively
Requirements
- Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- GCSE English and Maths grade C or above, or Functional Skills English and Maths Level 2
- Significant post-qualification experience, including management experience
- Experience managing a large nursery setting (ideally 70+ places)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- Proven experience achieving Ofsted outcomes of Good or above
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Strong people management and leadership skills

Pay: £44,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
