Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Drivers Mate for Home and office Removals . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling, loading, and unloading of furniture and related items . This role requires heavy lifting and the ability to operate various equipment safely. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring that furniture is moved and stored correctly, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload furniture from Vans with care to prevent damage.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper stacking and storage within the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Use of mechanical equipment as necessary for moving large items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong skills in materials handling, including loading and unloading techniques.
- Drivers licence is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is desirable; certification may be required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs, dismantling, reassembling or adjustments on equipment is beneficial.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory.
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
