We are recruiting an Operations Manager for an exceptional luxury boutique hotel in the Lake District, offering an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious independent property and play a key role in its continued development.

Set in one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District, this privately owned country house hotel combines relaxed, personal hospitality with high standards of service and attention to detail.
The hotel is home to a highly regarded 3AA Rosette restaurant and is continuing to build its reputation as one of the area's leading independent luxury hotels.
This is a hands-on senior management role for an experienced hotelier who enjoys being visible, approachable, and actively involved in the operation. Working closely with the Operations Director, you will help oversee the hotel and take responsibility for the property in their absence.

As Operations Manager, you will have a broad remit across the hotel, working closely with the senior team to ensure consistently exceptional standards across Front of House, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage.
As Operations Manager you will:
- Support the Operations Director with the day-to-day running of the hotel
- Take responsibility for the property in their absence
- Lead, motivate, and develop the wider hotel team
- Ensure exceptional guest service and operational standards throughout
- Work closely with the F&B team to maintain the standards expected of a 3AA Rosette restaurant
- Assist with rotas, recruitment, training, budgets, and commercial performance
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are maintained
The ideal candidate will be an experienced hotelier with a strong operational background, ideally from a luxury, boutique, or high-quality independent hotel.
Strong Food & Beverage experience is important, alongside excellent leadership skills, commercial awareness, and a genuine passion for guest service.
You will be a natural leader who is confident making decisions, calm under pressure, highly organised, and comfortable leading from the front.
