We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and in accordance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent organisational skills, and an eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Assist in food preparation.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Stock and replenish kitchen supplies.
- Organise kitchen storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Help with the unloading of deliveries.
The Orangery at Delapre runs a successful café based within the historic settings of Delapre Abbey. Menus change seasonally and take inspiration from the walled garden. Additionally, the Abbey operates Hibiscus; Northamptonshire's dining venue of the year, weddings and high-end events where the Kitchen Porter will be expected to support.

Key Responsibilities
● Maintain a clean working environment whilst adhering to health & safety standards.
● Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment.
● Ensure the maintenance of kitchen equipment, securing a safe working environment in accordance with Health & Safety policies.
● Ensuring the proper and correct organisation of ingredients and food supplies.
● Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards.
● Follow directions provided by the kitchen team.
● Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team and to ensure high-quality food service.
● Arranging and assisting with food and equipment deliveries efficiently.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
