Office Administrator (Maternity Cover) Fixed-Term Contract – initially 6 Months (with potential extension up to 10 months)

Cara Glass is one of the leading installers of windows, doors and conservatories in the Salisbury area, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Office Administrator to join our team on a maternity cover contract.
Based in our Wilton office, you'll become part of a friendly and supportive team, helping customers, suppliers and colleagues while keeping the day-to-day administration of the business running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include:
- Providing outstanding customer service by telephone, email and in person.
- Managing appointments for sales consultants, surveyors and installation teams.
- Supporting customers with enquiries, bookings and payments.
- Creating customer invoices and processing supplier invoices.
- Maintaining accurate customer and company records.
- Managing electronic diaries and schedules.
- Supporting the wider team with administration and organisational tasks.
- Maintaining electronic filing and documentation systems.
- Performing data entry and maintaining databases and records.
- Assisting with basic quotations and customer administration.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is friendly, professional, organised and enjoys working with people.
You'll ideally have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A friendly and professional telephone manner.
- Confidence dealing with customers face-to-face and making visitors feel welcome.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Intermediate Excel skills would be advantageous.
- Experience using CRM software (AdminBase experience would be beneficial but not essential).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A practical, common-sense approach to problem solving.
- Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude.
- The ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Previous experience in administration, office support or customer service would be advantageous, although full training will be provided. Whilst not exclusive, the role may be ideal for someone who is taking a gap year before university following exams to save money, or a bridging year between jobs
A good sense of humour is also essential!
Monday to Friday.
Standard hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm, however flexible start and finish times may be available for the right candidate between 7:30am and 5:30pm.
