Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote well-being, and ensure the comfort and safety of clients. Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques to promote independence
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
- Monitor and record vital signs and health observations accurately
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support clients with household tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning
- Use IT systems to update records and document care provided accurately
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans precisely
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards clients' needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From £13.15 per hour
