Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Yard Manager to lead our yard operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily logistics, managing staff, and ensuring efficient movement of materials and products. The Yard Manager will play a key part in process safety compliance, and maintaining seamless supply chain operations within our busy precast facility.
Duties
- Supervise daily yard activities, including shipping, receiving, and material handling
- Coordinate transportation and loading the lorry
- Oversee forklift operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols for yard
- Maintain compliance with safety standards,
- Sales and Customer focused role
- Answering phones in busy periods
- Some building experience would be an advantage to read plans for sills and lintels
- Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a warehouse or yard environment
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and yard safety protocols
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other concrete products
- Excellent communication skills
