Typical Work
· Footpath, track and trail construction and repair
· Woodland planting, hedgelaying, plug planting
· Building log dams, installing coir and heather bale sediment traps
· Tracking materials to and from remote sites
· Vegetation mowing and flailing
· Operating an excavator – reprofiling hags, creating peat dams
· Other conservation / land management tasks
Personal Specification
Essential
· Full UK Driving License
· Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
· Can complete physically demanding manual work in remote outdoor sites
· Happy to travel through the north of England
· Positive attitude and problem solving ethic
· Ability to comply with health and safety policies
Desirable
· Experience of working in national parks / national landscapes / outdoor environments / conservation
· Experience in operating large machinery & qualifications
· Chainsaw / Spraying Tickets
