Job Summary
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and achievements.
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met.
- Promote good behaviour and encourage independence and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Support children with additional needs where appropriate.
- Contribute to the cleanliness, organisation, and smooth running of the setting.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Essential
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs.
- Knowledge of child development and inclusive practice.
