HGV Class 2 Driver
As we continue to grow our business, we now require a conscientious HGV Class 2 Driver.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will report to the Transport & Warehouse Manager and will:
- Operate and drive a range of vehicles including HGV Category 2 vehicles in a safe and professional manner, ensuring compliance with all applicable road safety laws, traffic regulations and company procedures;
- Complete vehicle inspections before and after each trip, noting any defects or maintenance issues, and reporting them to the appropriate personnel;
- Load and unload goods to / from the vehicle;
- Complete timely deliveries in a safe and professional manner;
- Ensure accurate completion of all goods outward, goods inward and delivery documentation;
- Act as an ambassador for the company when interacting with customers and suppliers;
- Assist with unloading products during deliveries, providing a consistently high level of customer service;
- Comply with all applicable regulations, including driver working hours and rest breaks;
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant regulations, road laws, and industry standards.
Essential Criteria
- A full, clean HGV Category 2 License;
- Full driver CPC;
- Minimum of 2 years HGV Category 2 driving experience;
- The right to work in the UK and Republic of Ireland
Additionally, the successful candidate will be an effective communicator and an effective team player. This is a full-time, permanent position. Flexibility, together with the ability and willingness to work overtime (when required and in compliance with all applicable statutory requirements) are both essential.
Desirable Requirements
Experience of completing multi-drop delivery runs.
