Smart Solutions are proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturer within the haulage industry in Peterborough. Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join a busy and supportive production team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing and engineering. Whether you already have assembly experience or are looking to develop new skills, full training will be provided for enthusiastic and reliable individuals.
Shift Patterns
Choose from one of the following shifts:
- Monday to Friday – 07:00 to 15:30
- Monday to Friday – 15:00 to 23:30
Pay Rates
- £13.00 per hour standard rate
- £16.25 per hour overtime after 8 hours worked per shift
- £19.50 per hour Saturday overtime
- £10 shift premium for PM shift (paid upon completion of the full shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling vehicle components using hand and power tools
- Following engineering drawings and assembly instructions
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and to a high standard
- Maintaining health & safety standards at all times
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Supporting production targets and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential
- Experience using hand and power tools advantageous
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible approach to work
- Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing
