We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple operating companies.
Hours: 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am to 5:00pm)
Location: Creekmoor, Poole
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience
Reporting to: Payroll Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the end-to-end weekly payroll process, including validation of clocking records, liaising with managers regarding hours worked, importing payroll data, payroll preparation and reporting.
- Producing and processing monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
- Processing starters, leavers and employee changes, ensuring payroll records are maintained accurately.
- Administering statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
- Calculating and processing overtime, bonuses, commission payments and salary adjustments.
- Managing deductions including pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, attachment of earnings orders and student loans.
- Submitting payroll information to HMRC and ensuring compliance with Real Time Information (RTI) requirements.
- Processing pension auto-enrolment activities and liaising with pension providers.
- Providing cover for the Payroll Manager during periods of annual leave and sickness absence.
- Assisting with payroll-related reporting and other ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Abot You:
- Previous payroll administration experience and experience using payroll systems.
- GCSEs (Grade A-C/4-9) or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
- Strong administrative, data entry and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems effectively.
- A proactive, flexible approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
