Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety practices, hygiene standards, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain organisation of kitchen equipment and workstations for optimal efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Experience managing teams within a fast-paced culinary environment
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and menu development skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
