We are seeking an experienced
Site Manager to join our Building Division and support the delivery of a project in Bath, South West England. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Experience within Student Accommodation, PBSA, or BTR projects would be highly advantageous. We're looking for a proactive and motivated individual with a strong commitment to delivering successful project outcomes.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate daily on-site construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues to minimise delays and maintain programme targets.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
• Lead and motivate site teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage site documentation, including permits, drawings, inspections, and progress records.
• Support the implementation of best practices to improve site performance, productivity, and safety.
Requirements:
Essential Technical Competencies:
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site management practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in project management and reporting systems.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
Desirable:
• Experience delivering Student Accommodation, PBSA, or BTR projects.
• Knowledge of BIM processes, digital construction methodologies, or 4D sequencing.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
