We are looking for a cook/commis chef to join our team.
Clachaig’s reputation for food has been growing rapidly for a number of years and now rivals its reputation for great beer. With a turnover to put some city centre restaurants to shame, joining our catering team will give you a unique insight into an extremely busy and successful food trade.
If you already have some experience and would like an opportunity to build on this as an assistant to our Head Chef, or simply fancy learning more about working with food preparation then we would like to hear from you.
As a company we believe in good honest food produced in a good honest way. We don’t see the need to use strange French terminology, but we do see the need to set and meet high standards.
So, you will need to be a hard worker who is passionate about working with food, someone who wants to come in to learn and develop their skills.
This role will involve everything from breakfast service, prepping for the day to being on the hatch and getting all the orders out. You will also be responsible for maintaining records and following HACCP procedures.
Full time hours, usually based on 40+ hours per week. We aim to provide 2 clear days off each week, and usually achieve this. Monthly pay with a share of tips.
Medium to long term commitment. Join us for the 2026 season and beyond.
Possibility of live-in accommodation if required.
