Dog Day Care Assistant – Morpeth

We are looking for a Dog Day Care Assistant to join our team at our Morpeth centre.

The Doggy Day Care Centre is the North East’s largest dog day care provider and an award-winning business, recognised for the high standards of care we provide.
We pride ourselves on offering a fun, safe and enriching environment for every dog in our care, supported by a knowledgeable and passionate team.
This is a busy, active role and would suit someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys working in a busy environment and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments
- Monitoring dog behaviour and welfare throughout the day
- Helping to create safe, structured and enjoyable play sessions
- Feeding, exercising and providing enrichment for the dogs in our care
- Cleaning and maintaining high standards throughout the day care environment
- Supporting other members of the team with the day-to-day running of the centre
- Driving company vans when required, including assisting with our dog collection and drop-off service
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for dogs and their welfare
- Confidence working around dogs of all breeds and sizes
- A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work
- Someone who works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative
- A willingness to learn and complete our full in-house training programme
- Previous experience working with dogs is desirable, although full training will be provided for the right person
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- Applicants must be aged 21 or over due to our company van insurance requirements

Contract Type: Flexible – to be discussed with the successful candidate
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
