Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable professional to join our team specialising in the installation of driveways and patios. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality outdoor surfacing solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction through precise craftsmanship and attention to detail. Duties
- Prepare work sites by clearing and levelling surfaces to ensure a solid foundation for driveway or patio installation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to lay bricks, pavers, or slabs accurately according to design specifications.
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying and laying concrete or other surfacing materials.
- Operate machinery such as mixers, compactors, and saws safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the construction of forms and frameworks for concrete pouring where necessary.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in driveway or patio installation, masonry, or related construction trades.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels.
- Experience using power tools including saws, drills, and mixers.
- Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and masonry principles.
- Ability to operate construction machinery safely and effectively.
- Basic carpentry skills are desirable; familiarity with roofing or welding is a plus but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and precision.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid relevant qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn new skills.
