The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Training and Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop our company-wide training and compliance strategy, while also supporting key operational activities.
This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring all employees are fully trained, competent, and operating in line with the highest health & safety standards, alongside contributing to the smooth and efficient delivery of services across our nationwide operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of company-wide training strategies and programmes
- Deliver training to internal staff and external clients in line with BESA TR-19 standards
- Ensure all employees are trained, certified, and compliant with relevant regulations
- Take full ownership of health & safety across all operations
- Ensure compliance with all legislation, standards, and industry best practices
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and site inspections
- Develop and maintain safe systems of work across all operational activities
- Support operational teams in maintaining high safety, compliance, and service standards
- Assist with the day-to-day operational oversight across multiple sites when required
- Work closely with operations management to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Monitor and improve training effectiveness and workforce capability
Essential Requirements
- Extensive experience within the facilities management sector
- Strong background in training delivery, coaching, and workforce development
- Train the Trainer qualification (essential)
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards, including BESA TR-19
- Proven experience managing health & safety systems and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrable experience supporting or working alongside operational teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities
