Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Supervisor to lead and oversee construction projects, ensuring that all civil engineering activities are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. In this role, you will coordinate with project managers, contractors, and on site teams to supervise daily operations, monitor progress, and uphold quality. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing resources effectively and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily civil construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Coordinate with project management teams to adhere to programmes
- Oversee the management of subcontractors and labour teams, providing clear guidance and supervision to optimise productivity
- Monitor progress of civil works, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and environmental regulations are maintained
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with engineers and management to review drawings, specifications, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising civil construction projects with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Supervising experience in large-scale infrastructure is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental standards, and quality assurance practices
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate clear coordination among team members and clients
- Relevant certifications or training in civil engineering or construction management are preferred (SMSTS, SSSTS or NRSWA Supervisor)
