Overview
We are looking for experienced and dedicated Senior Carers to join our team on a permanent basis. You will work as part of a skilled care team, taking a lead role during your shift in delivering high standards of person-centred care to our residents.
You will be required to work either day or night Senior shifts depending on the needs of the Home, and will work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Contracts are available at 22 or 33 hours per week.
We operate with digital care systems — including PCS Care Plans and a Digital Rota to access shifts 24/7 via smart phone — and pride ourselves on a professional, supportive working environment where our team can grow and thrive.
Responsibilities
▸ Lead and supervise care staff during your shift, acting as a positive role model
▸ Administer medications safely in accordance with the Home's medication policy and SSSC standards
▸ Oversee and contribute to accurate, person-centred care planning using PCS digital care plans
▸ Support residents with personal care, mobility, activities of daily living, and social engagement
▸ Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and escalate concerns promptly and appropriately
▸ Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies as required
▸ Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate standards, policies, and procedures
▸ Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
▸ Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the Home
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt approaches accordingly
- Competent IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties or errands related to resident needs
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in senior care and wellbeing
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

▸ SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) — minimum qualification
▸ Medication Administration — proven, hands-on experience is essential
▸ Registered with or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
▸ Previous experience in a senior or supervisory care role within a residential setting
▸ Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
▸ Ability to work flexibly across day and night shifts and every other weekend
▸ Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care
