Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, along with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
- Clear tables promptly and reset for new guests to maintain smooth service flow
- Handle guest queries professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and beverage stations
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Experience in serving or food preparation within a busy environment
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is an advantage
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during service periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
