Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Venue Cleaner to ensure our event spaces and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our visitors and staff, ensuring all areas are spotless and well-presented. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services.
This role will be weekend work Saturday morning, Sunday morning, Monday morning (before public opening hours). Minimum hours provided as cleanliness will vary.
No two shifts are the same! As a 625-capacity venue, Thirteen can get busy, so we're looking for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and keep the venue looking its best from start to finish.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all venue areas, including floors, restrooms, seating areas, and communal spaces.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to maintain hygiene standards.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any cleanliness issues promptly.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and record completed tasks efficiently.
- Assist with setting up or dismantling event spaces when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time during shifts.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or early mornings as required by event schedules.
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
