Distribution & Retail Assistant
Location: Swalwell, Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
We are looking for a Distribution & Retail Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and retail store.
The role involves receiving deliveries, processing stock, dispatching customer orders, serving customers and helping to maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process magazine deliveries from suppliers.
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders.
- Process supplier returns.
- Replenish stock within the warehouse and retail store.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Process customer purchases through the till system.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Support other business activities as required.
About You
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable and organised.
- Comfortable working with customers.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
- Comfortable carrying out a physically active role, including lifting and moving stock and regular use of stairs.
Working Hours
Tuesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Wednesday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Thursday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Flexibility to provide holiday cover and additional support during busy periods is required.
