C-Tec are a privately owned, proud british manufacturer of life safety equipment based in the North West. We have been based in Wigan for 40 years, with many of our staff being with us since our early days. Since then we have seen tremendous growth, and due to continuing worldwide demand and new product releases, we are looking to further expand our warehouse team.
What is the role?
As part of our warehouse team, you’ll play an important role in making sure our products reach customers safely, accurately and on time.
Working across the three core areas of the warehouse — Goods In, Stores and Dispatch — you will support the efficient, accurate and safe movement of materials, stock and customer orders in addition to supporting our manufacturing team with raw components and storage.
This position comes with a starting salary of £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.00 after probation. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 - 16:30.*
*5pm finishes on a rota basis.
For those wanting to progress, there are a further 3 levels of salary progression within our warehouse. Beyond this, we also offer a highly competitive management tiered pay scale allowing for future career progression.
We offer 34 days holiday as standard and are closed on public holidays, including a Christmas shut down.
Overtime is paid at 1.5x.

Key Responsibilities:
Your main duties will include:
- Receiving, checking and processing deliveries in line with standard operating procedures.
- Distributing, rotating and maintaining stock to support production and operational requirements.
- Picking and issuing raw components, bulk stock and consumables for the Manufacturing department.
- Measuring, weighing, identifying and labelling parcels, raw components and bulk stock accurately.
- Recording stock transactions using the company’s in-house software system.
- Reporting quality or stock issues and assisting with investigations where needed.
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for shipment.
- Producing and processing dispatch documentation, including picking lists, dispatch notes, warranty labels and traceability labels.
- Labelling and preparing parcels for collection or delivery.
- Loading, unloading and moving goods safely using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment, including forklift trucks where authorised.
- Carrying out equipment, stock and racking audits.
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and high standards across all warehouse areas.
- Following health and safety, quality and company procedures.
- Meeting agreed productivity, quality and accuracy targets.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to team and departmental objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
Desirable
- Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences — full in-house training will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence
