Duties:
- Diagnosing vehicle faults accurately and efficiently to ensure high standards of repair
- Conducting servicing, mechanical repairs, and routine maintenance across a diverse range of vehicles
- Performing MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations and standards
- Assisting with repairs including cambelts, clutches, engine diagnostics, and other mechanical work
- Maintaining detailed and clear records of all work undertaken
- Communicating test results and repair recommendations effectively to customers
- Upholding health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in automotive repair
- Proven experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including vans and fleet vehicles
- MOT testing certification or willingness to train
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Enthusiastic approach to ongoing professional development
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and support colleagues
- Additional skills such as advanced diagnostics, engine rebuilds, or turbo repairs are advantageous
- Flexibility to participate in overtime and KPI bonus schemes is desirable
