Gloag Foundation (GF) is a Scottish-registered charity based in Perth, Scotland.
GF is a charitable trust set up by Dame Ann Gloag that supports projects which prevent or relieve poverty and encourage the advancement of education, health and religion in the UK and overseas.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team and drive our financial efforts forward. This vital role involves supporting our Finance Manager in financial operations, ensuring accurate financial accounting & reporting, and supporting the delivery of financial support & guidance to a diverse range of teams in the UK & Africa.
If you are successful in securing this role, you will be required to attend in-person training sessions and team meetings in Perth on a semi-regular basis.

Duties
- Production of Management Accounts (in conjunction with the GF Finance Manager)
- Assist with financial reporting, inputting and extracting required data from Excel & Sage for :-
o Operational Reporting for use by Management teams
o Trustee Meetings
o Donor Reports
o Audit Files
- Review & analysis of financial data feeding into reporting and day-to-day operational activity
- Processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Maintain accurate financial accounting records in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare financial statements, and assist in audit preparations to uphold transparency and accountability.
- Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a finance officer
- Proven experience in the use of Sage and Microsoft Office package.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial services, including accounts payable and cost control practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial reports.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work as part of a small team of remote workers
Relevant certifications or qualifications in finance or accounting are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £13.46-£14.42 per hour
