Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, machinery, and workstations to uphold safety standards and cleanliness
- IPAF or equivalent powered access training
- PASMA or equivalent mobile access tower training
- Working at Height training
- COSHH training or awareness
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist with cleaning tasks, including scrubbing floors, wiping surfaces, and removing debris
- Maintain cleaning equipment by inspecting, cleaning, and storing tools properly after each shift
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
Requirements
- The Overhead Cleaning Operative is responsible for delivering specialist industrial and high-level cleaning services within manufacturing
- Prior experience in a factory or industrial setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Clean high-level beams, ceilings, roof structures, rafters, steelwork, pipework, cable trays, ducting, ventilation systems, ledges, platforms, and other overhead surfaces
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards maintaining a clean work environment
