Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health to recommend appropriate grooming treatments
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring a stress-free experience for pets and owners alike
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide after-care advice
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction
- Keep detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions or health concerns
Experience
- Proven 2 years experience in dog grooming or related pet care roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of breed-specific grooming styles and current pet grooming trends
- Ability to handle dogs of various temperaments with patience and professionalism
- Strong understanding of animal safety protocols and hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with pet owners and team members
- Level 3 qualified
