Position Overview
The Lead Mobile Dog Groomer operates as a skilled, standalone practitioner managing the day-to-day grooming operations of a premium mobile unit. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, 1-to-1 grooming services directly to clients' doorsteps, prioritizing a calm, stress-free, and holistic approach to canine care.
Key Responsibilities
Grooming Excellence: Independently execute high-quality styling, breed-standard clips, hand-stripping, and de-shedding treatments across various breeds and temperaments.
Holistic Animal Care: Maintain a patient, gentle, 1-to-1 environment to build trust with nervous, elderly, or anxious dogs.
Vehicle & Asset Management: Safely operate, navigate, and drive a 3.5-tonne manual Peugeot Boxer van featuring a premium Wet Pets conversion.
Sanitization & Maintenance: Adhere strictly to daily turnaround protocols, ensuring the van interior and all styling equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and organized between appointments.
Customer Relations: Act as the professional face of PawMobile on the doorstep, providing exceptional customer service, managing timings efficiently, and respecting client boundaries.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Grooming Experience: Proven practical experience working as a standalone dog groomer. A Level 3 qualification in dog grooming (or equivalent high-level industry experience) is required.
Technical Competence: Advanced skills in scissoring, coat preparation, and handling techniques.
Driving Profile: A valid, full UK Driving License with the confidence to drive a large manual transit vehicle.
Professional Conduct: A reliable, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding premium brand standards.
