Overview
We are looking for an organised and proactive Inventory Planner to join our Buying team. You will help maintain the right stock levels across the business, use purchasing data to place accurate orders and take action to minimise stock loss while supporting strong product availability and service levels.
We offer very flexible working hours on a Monday to Friday basis. This is an office based role working within a small buying team.
Responsibilitis
Place purchase orders using the recommended purchase order system to support availability and reduce stock loss.
Maintain accurate recommended order data for products and suppliers.
Monitor inventory and take appropriate action on low stock, out-of-stock, overstocked and short-dated products.
Review forward orders and purchase stock in line with expected demand.
Run back-to-back purchase orders where required.
Liaise with Goods In to resolve delivery or stock-related issues.
Communicate product supply issues clearly and promptly across the business.
Keep up to date with commodity and market movements across relevant categories.
Support the wider Buying team and undertake other reasonable duties when required.
Skills
Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to analyse reports and turn information into clear actions.
Good communication skills, externally and internally.
Attention to detail is critical within the role.
Experience within a food sector business
Experience using inventory or stock-management systems.
Able to meet business deadlines.
Pay: Up to £21,513.00 per year
