At Thornton House, we believe that a clean and comfortable environment is essential for the health and well-being of our elderly residents. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to help us maintain a safe, warm, and welcoming home for our residents.

Hours: 20 hours a week – Mornings and afternoons on a rota, including alternate weekends.
Salary: £12.71 per hour
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure all areas of the care home are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in communal areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms
- Safely use cleaning products and equipment according to guidelines
- Support infection control measures to protect residents, staff, and visitors
- Work as part of a friendly and supportive team
What We’re Looking For:
- A caring and positive attitude
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of hygiene and health & safety procedures (training will be provided)
- A friendly and respectful approach towards elderly residents
