We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Barista & Front of House Assistant to join our busy sandwich shop. We serve fresh baguettes, baked poatoes, paninis & sandwiches alongside iced drinks, matcha, and quality coffees.
This role involves delivering exceptional customer service. Barista and customer service experience is essential.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing sandwiches and drinks (coffee, matcha, iced beverages)
- Serving customers and handling orders
- Maintaining a clean, hygenic and organised workspace

Duties in detail:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees and teas, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, counters and display cases.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as required.
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Uphold a positive attitude and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing food service role is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is desirable.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage with customers professionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
