Financial Institutions department manages and develops long term, mutually beneficial relationships between the Bank and Financial Institutions clients around the world. The sector includes banks and non-bank financial institutions such as asset managers and insurance companies as well as clearing houses, exchanges and central banks. As a Relationship Manager – APAC Banks & Global Exchanges, you will be responsible for developing and managing business relationships with APAC Banks, Global Exchanges, Clearing Houses as well as the downstream NBFI clearing and trading members. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

Develop existing and prospective APAC Banks and Global Exchanges/Clearing Houses (including downstream clearing and trading members) client businesses through cross selling of relevant Bank of China (BOC) products and services

Identify key business opportunities within the portfolio through dialogue with clients, product partner collaboration, proactive research and analysis of financial and other relevant information

Support to develop institutional clients origination for the prudent and sustainable business and income growth for the Bank

Negotiate terms, prepare credit proposals and present to the Credit Committee

Communicate with the Agent bank and internal stakeholders to complete the execution of transactions

Collaborate closely with Head Office’s Financial Institutions and overseas branches to support the development of BOC London Branch’s Financial Institutions existing and prospective client base

Support with compliance and risk controls, and other general compliance related projects, ensuring all completed reviews and tasks are aligned with the Bank’s policy and procedures

Ensure compliance with local jurisdiction regulatory and legal requirements as well as adherence to BOC policies and procedures in all client marketing activities

Work with product lines and enablement departments in the first line of defence (1LoD) and second line of defence (2LoD) to develop new Global Exchange and APAC Bank effective clients, ancillary products and services
Requirements

Degree educated in Business, Finance or Economics

Proven experience in corporate or institutional client marketing, client relationship management and inherent risk management in banking industry

Solid practical knowledge of the regulatory environment in the UK but also across the EMEA region and globally, in particular related to AML, CTF, Sanctions and other aspects of KYC/CDD

Good knowledge of Global Markets products including FX, Money Markets, DCM, Credit Sales, Repo and Derivatives Trading

Decent knowledge of Transactional Banking products, including Cash Management and Trade Finance in multi-currencies
