ACQUISITION & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – LEEDS, WEST YORKSHIRE (WITH TRAVEL)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join an established care provider going through a journey of growth, based in Yorkshire. The role will help define, identify and implement the growth and development strategy of the business. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong financial, strategic and commercial acumen, and a proven track record of applying their technical skills to deliver successful outcomes. The role will have a direct impact in delivering new service developments, growth and acquisitions.
North Bay Group is a privately owned developer and operator of care homes. Operating from 4 established care brands including St Marys, Marton Group, Highgate Care and Bridge Oak the combined Group provides 73 care homes, supporting 4500 people and 5000 colleagues.
The role will be Hybrid working with travel to the head office in Colton (Leeds) and occasional travel to site and service locations across the UK.
What you’ll get to do:
North bay is privately owned with strong funding partners and has significant growth ambitions in the next 5-10 years and this role will be pivotal to delivering the growth agenda. The role will support all forms of growth including new build development and acquisitions.
You will be accountable for:
· Bespoke financial modelling to support both the assessment of new opportunities and monitoring actual and forecast performance of operational services to ensure effective prioritization of capital investment and adherence with funding covenants respectively
· Research and financial analysis over prospective M&A, growth and development opportunities
· Producing business cases and reporting for the monthly Investment Committee
· Working with the senior financial, development and operational colleagues to apply insight to help identify and deliver growth opportunities
· Due diligence support for viable opportunities
· Ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic business projects as needed for MD's and Senior Management
· Post investment reviews
What North Bay would like from you:
· Qualified accountant.
· Educated at a degree level with strong academic record.
· Strong experience with Excel for financial appraisals and modelling, including creation of bespoke financial forecasts.
· Experience reviewing, analysing and challenging investment proposals using commercial judgement to ensure that risks and opportunities are identified and understood.
· Report writing experience.
· Strong communicator both verbal and written.
· Ability to multi-task and work independently.
· Able to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly to be able to work to deadlines.
· Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
· Healthcare experience nice to have but is not essential.
· Corporate finance experience or transaction services nice to have but is not essential.
