For over 20 years, Stocker Dance Academy has been a place where young people come to Dream, Believe, Achieve - and we're looking for a passionate, qualified dance teacher to help carry that mission forward.
We have an exciting opportunity for a versatile teacher to join our SDA family, delivering high-quality tuition.
Duties
You'll be teaching a mixed timetable of styles on Mondays 4-6.30 teaching a mixture of styles including ballet, tap, modern jazz, musical theatre, and/or Wednesdays 5.30-7.30 teaching Acro. Both days include teaching aerial/cirque skills which if you haven’t taught before we can provide training for. Working with students across a range of ages and abilities from 3 years. Whether you're guiding a beginner through their first plie or helping a class shine on stage, your enthusiasm and expertise will make a real difference. There will be the opportunity for more hours in the future for the right person.
At SDA, we believe in rounded dance education - that means you'll be comfortable working across:
- IDTA syllabus
- NPAA syllabus
- Non-syllabus and freework classes
- Show and performance preparation, including choreography.
We're open to teachers qualified through other awarding organisations too - what matters most is your skill in the studio and your ability to connect with and inspire students.
You will be.......
- Fully qualified in at least one of the disciplines listed above.
- Experienced in teaching children and/or young adults.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and a genuine team player.
- Passionate about nurturing confidence as much as technique.
- Able to work independently while embracing the SDA ethos.
