Job Role: Pharmacy Technician (Primary Care Network)
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Salary: £29000 - £34000 per annum (Dependent on experience) Hours: Part-time hours - 2 days per week Contract Type: Fixed term 4 months
Job Purpose
Are you a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking to advance your clinical career outside of traditional community or hospital pharmacy? Our progressive Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding multi-disciplinary team.
In this role, you will work directly across our GP surgeries. You will support the clinical pharmacists, GPs, and practice staff to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective medicine management services to our local patient population.
Key Responsibilities

Review and process discharge summaries, clinic letters, and medication changes from secondary care to ensure patient records are updated accurately.
- Conduct medication synchronisation, review repeat prescription requests, and address medication-related queries from patients and healthcare staff.
- Support patients with medication queries, providing information and promoting safe use.
- Assist with audits and quality improvements
Essential Criteria

Registration: Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Qualifications: BTEC National Certificate in Pharmacy Services, NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, or an equivalent GPhC-recognised qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a primary care, hospital, or community pharmacy environment. (Primary care experience is highly desirable but full training is provided).
- Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency with IT systems (experience with EMIS Web or SystemOne is a major advantage).
