Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The role is for 15 hours per week with overtime available, cleaning at various premises e.g. holiday lets, in the Lake District and wider Cumbria. The successful candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to drive.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning properties, including luxury holiday lets, to a high standard. Strict attention to detail is required. The candidate will sometimes be working in a team and sometimes alone.
The position begins at 15 hours a week with overtime available and the potential for more contracted hours down the line. If successful in the job there will be the opportunity to be trained in specialised cleaning which will come with a higher rate of pay.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise designated areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal spaces
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
- Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning duties
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain cleaning schedules and record completed tasks accurately
- Assist with additional duties as required to support the overall cleanliness of the premises
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Reliable, punctual, and able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
