Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to various locations according to scheduled routes
- Load and unload items with care, often involving heavy lifting to ensure proper handling and safety
- Verify delivery orders against shipment documentation for accuracy before departure
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery times and address any issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to uphold safety on the road at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and documentation as required for record-keeping
Qualifications
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong track record of safe driving practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles or similar commercial vehicles preferred
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading/unloading procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during deliveries
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and navigation tools is beneficial
