Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various premises at Cliffe Industrial Estate Lewes. The ideal candidate will ensure that environments are safe, welcoming, and well-presented, contributing to a positive experience for clients and visitors alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and excellent customer service are valued. The hours are 6.00pm to 9.00pm Monday to Friday at £12.71 per hour.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to high standards
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any maintenance issues
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding cleaning schedules and special requests
- Assist with additional duties as required to support the overall cleanliness of the premises
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good command of English language skills for effective communication with colleagues and clients
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within a team
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to instructions
- Organised with keen attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met
