Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor/Ganger to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong background in groundworks and hard landscaping who can lead a team while working alongside them on site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing jobs from initial site setup through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and leading site operatives on a daily basis
- Carrying out hands-on groundworks and hard landscaping works
- Managing site setup, programme of works, and job completion
- Liaising with management, clients, and subcontractors as required
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Organising labour, materials, and plant to keep projects running efficiently
- Monitoring the quality of work and maintaining high standards
- Completing site paperwork and reporting progress
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising groundworks and hard landscaping projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
- Experience managing projects from site setup through to completion
- Excellent knowledge of general groundworks and hard landscaping
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work under pressure
Desirable
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Plant tickets (Dumper, Roller, Excavator)
- Street Works certification
