Job Summary
Yaplex Ltd is a growing manufacturer of structural steelwork, overhead crane systems and lifting equipment. We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to operate our DAF CF 26T crane vehicle delivering steelwork, crane systems and fabricated structures throughout the UK. The job will also involve driving for our sister company Vibrant Coatings Ltd with local deliveries and collections.
Role
- Deliver structural steelwork and crane components to customer sites.
- Operate Palfinger crane for loading and unloading.
- Assist with site deliveries and installations.
- Collect materials from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Complete vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards.
- Secure loads correctly and ensure legal compliance at all times.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and contractors.
Experience
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Experience operating HIAB or lorry-mounted cranes.
- Good understanding of load securing and transport regulations.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist with deliveries and site activities.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
Preferred
- ALLMI or equivalent lorry loader qualification.
- Experience handling structural steelwork or heavy fabrication.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge of lifting operations and site safety procedures.
