Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to work with us at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Psychiatry.
We are looking for a doctor dedicated to, and passionate about, improving health and wellbeing within the Surrey community.
This Role is an ongoing fulltime placement opportunity within the fast-paced care Psychiatry department. This role would be predominantly based in Farnham Road Hospital with the opportunity to work extra shifts across the Trusts’ other sites and any of our partner Trusts.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct thorough medical assessments and evaluations of Psychiatric patients on a 15-bed ward.
- Develop individualized care plans based on the patient's medical history, current health status, and specific needs.
- Specialize in the diagnosis and management of psychiatric health conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications, considering potential interactions and side effects.
- Regularly review medication regimens and adjust as needed.
- Discharge Planning
- Assess and manage the mental health and emotional well-being of patients, including addressing issues like depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline.
- Offer support for patients and families.
- Attend tribunals
- Supervision of trainee doctors

- Speciality: Adult Psychiatry
- Location: Surrey and Borders
- Days per week: Monday-Friday 40 hours per
- Shift pattern: 08:00-16:00/9:00-17:00, on-going, part-time hours also available
- Hours per week: 40
- Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
- Rate of pay: £90-£120 per hour (negotiable)
- Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
